A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH CALVIN, GIORDANO & ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR THE USE OF FUNDS AWARDED TO THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH THROUGH THE BROWARD COUNTY "CHALLENGE" AND THE "PARKS FOR PEOPLE" GRANTS IN THE COMBINED APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $103,297.50, WHICH PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE DANIA FUZZY BUNNY COVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

     The City Commission to adopt a resolution awarding a contract to Calvin Giordano and Associates for engineering, project management and grant management services for the Dania Cove Project (a.k.a. Fuzzy Bunny).

 

Description of Action

     This award will allow the City to complete the Dania Cove Project in accordance the inter local agreement between the City and Broward County for the development of this land.

Fiscal Impact/Cost Summary

     The cost of the contact is $103,297.50, of which approximately $42,000 can be funded from grant funds, the remainder of which will be funded from $160,000 of funds dedicated and funded  in capital plan.
